The B

In 2009, a small group of Pepperdine undergraduate students came together with a mission to increase the presence of film on campus. Though they had different backgrounds, each felt that film contributed significantly to their world experience and wanted to share their passion with the Pepperdine community.

While the original ReelStories Film Festival showcased various professional documentaries and featured talk-backs with members of the cast/crew, more recent years of the festival boast an entire program of student-produced short films.

RSFF provides an on-campus opportunity for students to showcase their cinematic artistry, regardless of major. Students are encouraged to collaborate as they craft short films that tackle issues relevant to today's society.

Now in 2021, despite the constant changes from the past year, ReelStories Film Festival continues and invites all students and student filmmakers alike to showcase their talents and inspirations. RSFF12 will feature both new submissions and films from previous years but invites all students to contribute to the festival through a collaborative film focused on your voices and perspective on the past year. Though we can’t hold our esteemed red-carpet premiere, we hope that this year’s online take on ReelStories will invite a broader audience and encourage participants to tell their “Real” Stories.
