The B

In 2009, a small group of Pepperdine undergraduate students came together with a mission to increase the presence of film on campus. Though they had different backgrounds, each felt that film contributed significantly to their world experience and wanted to share their passion with the Pepperdine community.

While the original ReelStories Film Festival showcased various professional documentaries and featured talk-backs with members of the cast/crew, more recent years of the festival boast an entire program of student produced short films.

RSFF provides an on-campus opportunity for students to showcase their cinematic artistry, regardless of major. Students are encouraged to collaborate as they craft short films that tackle issues relevant to today's society.

In 2020, ReelStories celebrated eleven years of growth and diversity uniting Pepperdine students, alumni, faculty/staff, Malibu residents and industry professionals in celebration of young storytellers.
